Know your exact level. Know what you're missing. Fix it. Pass.
You've taken the oral exam 2, 3, 4 times. Same result: B. Maybe one or two checkmarks. Nothing concrete. Nothing that tells you why or what to do about it.
Lyngo shows you exactly which gap is holding you back — then gives you the roadmap to fix it.

These are the patterns we see over and over in candidates preparing for the SLE oral exam.
"I've been trying for 2 years and keep getting a B with 1 or 2 checkmarks. I'm stuck... still don't know what I'm missing."
Candidates repeat the exam year after year. The PSC feedback report is "general in nature" — it's not a diagnostic tool. It never tells you precisely why.
"More stressful than 2 years in Afghanistan and 3 in Ukraine. I failed 9 times, passed on my 10th try."
The OLA is 20–40 minutes with a live assessor via Teams, camera on. Candidates freeze, lose confidence, and underperform — despite knowing the material.
"They don't want to give proper feedback... the PSC process is not transparent."
The PSC records your exam but won't share it. Their feedback report tells you what level you hit, not the details on what held you back. You're flying blind between attempts.
"My tutor charges $50–70/hour... 12 weeks at 2 sessions/week = $2,400–3,000."
You've already invested time and/or money in tutoring, but most tutors don't understand how OLA assessors actually score you. Lyngo is the affordable way to measure whether that investment is paying off — before your next attempt counts.
Built on the same five criteria assessors use to score you: fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
Real exam conditions. Questions follow the same progressive difficulty model as the OLA — from concrete work questions up through opinion prompts and hypothetical scenarios. You speak, we listen.
Not just a level letter. We score you across the same five criteria as the real exam, show you exactly why you missed the next level (fluency? grammar structures? vocabulary range?), and pinpoint patterns in your weak areas.
Get a personalized roadmap: "Your subjunctive triggers need work." "Vocabulary is solid — it's your conditional structures holding you back." "You need C in fluency plus three other criteria to pass." Come back next week. Watch your weak areas improve.
Most learners are practicing in the dark. They repeat the same mistakes. Lyngo removes the guessing — you see progress inside the exam itself.
There are a thousand French learning apps. None of them understand how assessors actually score the five OLA criteria.
Not "learn French." It's "pass the OLA at Level C." Questions follow the same progressive difficulty model — from concrete to abstract to hypothetical — mirroring how assessors determine your ceiling.
Most apps gamify. We diagnose. You see your weak areas, your progress trajectory, and exactly what to work on next.
Created by someone who achieved Level C from zero and deeply studied how the OLA assessment works. Every feature reflects what assessors actually evaluate.
You see your scores, your weak areas, your roadmap. No black box. No guessing what the examiner wanted.

"I tried for 2 years. I didn't know I was missing the Si clause structure. One exam with detailed feedback and I changed everything."
"I was so anxious I couldn't think straight in the exam room. Practicing 5 times on Lyngo killed the anxiety. Got my C on the 6th real exam."
"I'm busy. I can't afford a $3,000 tutor. Lyngo gave me the feedback to learn on my own. Worth every penny."
Testimonials reflect common candidate experiences.
Lyngo was created by a Government of Canada IT professional who achieved Level C from zero background — by deeply studying how the Oral Language Assessment actually works: how assessors score each of the five criteria, what grammar structures trigger a C rating, and why most candidates plateau at B. That research is now built into every mock exam and feedback report.
Tutors charge $50–70/hour. 12 weeks = $2,400–$5,000. You only pay for what you need, when you need it.

Get StartedA tutor teaches you French. Lyngo teaches you exam strategy and gives you detailed feedback on where you're losing points. Tutors are great but expensive ($2,400–$5,000 for 12 weeks). Lyngo is the feedback engine: it tells you exactly what's holding you back, then you focus your limited time on fixing it.
Yes. We mirror the OLA's progressive difficulty model — the same approach assessors use to determine your ceiling. One exam gives you a reliable snapshot across all five criteria. Taking multiple exams over weeks shows your improvement trend and reveals consistent patterns in your weak areas.
Lyngo works at all levels. You'll get feedback on your current level and a clear roadmap to the next one. Most users targeting C are at B or B+, but A-level users also benefit from understanding the exam format and building confidence.

No. Passing depends on you — your study effort and test-day performance. What Lyngo does is give you the clearest roadmap possible and remove the guesswork. We know what assessors look for at each level, and we show you exactly where you stand against those criteria. But you have to do the work.
The Second Language Evaluation (SLE) is the official assessment used by the Government of Canada to evaluate French oral proficiency. The oral component — the Oral Language Assessment (OLA) — is consistently the most difficult of the three. As of June 2025, bilingual supervisory positions require CBC, making Level C oral more critical than ever. Results are valid for 5 years.
